Governed by the Tennessee Board of Regent, Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) helps to meet the educational needs of seven northwest Tennessee counties. To help meet these needs DSCC has its main campus in Dyersburg (click HERE for a map) and three satellite off campus centers, one located in Gibson County (click HERE for a map), the Obion Country Training and Education Center (click HERE for a map), and the Jimmy Naifeh Center in Tipton County (click HERE for a map). DSCC was opened in 1969 because there was a recognized need to meet the higher education needs of residents of northwest Tennessee.
DSCC is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. With coursework being fully transferable to other accredited colleges and universities around the country, many of DSCC’s student begin their college career here. DSCC offers Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degrees, as well as an Associate of Applied Science degree and technical and academic certifications. DSCC had an enrollment of 2,500 students at last count. This is an excellent institution to begin your college career, obtain continuing education and certification, or for personal enrichment.
